The knowledge economy and its role in building the educational structure in Iraq (future vision)

The Global Knowledge Index consists of seven sub-indicators, which have been focused on because of the interactive link that connects them to each other on the one hand and knowledge and developmental developments on the other hand. The research aims to analyze the indicators of the knowledge economy by employing these indicators in the educational sector at all levels in order to improve the educational structure. The research concluded that there is a mutual relationship between them, as the indicators of the knowledge economy share with the indicators of education, while the human being is the intellectual capital and the essence of these indicators and is considered the basis for the development of the knowledge economy. The research recommended the need to work on the development of education indicators in Iraq by activating the role of the knowledge economy to keep abreast of developments in developed countries and activate educational efforts to move to the knowledge economy due to its significant role in achieving the upgrading of the educational structure in Iraq.
