Abstract

This research aims to identify scouting activities and their role in developing certain physical abilities in public and private universities from the perspective of the scouts. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, which relies on studying the reality or phenomenon as it exists in practice. It focuses on accurately describing it and expressing it qualitatively or quantitatively on a sample of 80 students in public and private universities in the Middle Euphrates region. The research also addressed how to develop the physical abilities of scouts. The importance of the research lies in determining the extent to which scouting activities affect the development of scouts' physical abilities.

The researcher concluded

1- Scouting activities have an impact on developing certain physical abilities in scouts

2-There are statistically significant differences in the level of impact of scouting activities on certain physical abilities between the pre-test and post-test for the research sample, favoring the post-test.

The researcher also recommends the following

1- Incorporating and diversifying scouting activities into official university activity programs, given their effective role in developing speed, strength, agility, and balance among scouts

2- Encouraging students to participate in scouting camps and events, as these have a significant impact on developing physical and motor skills and social interaction.
